eWriteChinese - 中文e读写课程

Online based, self - paced program that builds Chinese writing skills through practice compositions submitted online and reviewing structured constructive feedback.

Prerequisites

1. Must know a minimum of 300 characters 
2. Studied Chinese for a minimum of 2-3 years
3. Students are REQUIRED to have a basic understanding of Chinese grammar and structure before enrolling in an ewritechinese semester or AP prep services.

Rates - Each level consist of 2 semesters to complete to advance to the next level 

1. Beginner group (Level 1 - 4) --------- Semester rate is $158
2. Intermediate group (Level 5 - 8) ----- Semester rate is $198
3. Advanced group (Level 9 - 10) ------- Semester rate is $288

Students can enroll in the Beginner, Intemediate or Advance group based on their Chinese writing proficiency.  The grader will assign a level from the first writing sample.

• The true beginner writer has studied Chinese for 2-3 years. Students will gain a basic grasp phrase and sentence formation
• The intermediate student has completed 5-7 years of Chinese studies and is preparing for the writing portion of the AP Chinese Language Test
• The advance stage targets post AP students and can begin at level 9 to further improve their Chinese writing skills

How the cirriculum works?

• Each level consists of 2 semesters to complete
• Each year, we offer 3 semesters in the Spring, Summer and Fall
• Each semester comprises of 16 assignments (8 readings, 8 writings)
• A semester spans a 16-week period starting with the first assignment
• We recommend the student to take two semesters of eWriteChinese per year while concurrently studying the Chinese language in a classroom setting. This program is intended to supplement and enhance classroom Chinese studies.

AP Chinese Prep: Assesses four skills [Read, Write, Speaking, and Listening comprehension]

* We offer coaching and practice for story narration, email response, and cultural presentation

Depending on your level of Chinese proficiency, you may want to focus on a specific aspect of Chinese composition. Our AP Prep Class is completely customizable. Each composition (Story Narration, Email Response, and Cultural Speech) is the same price and can be chosen to best fit your needs.

Students are given one week to complete each item, but the student can utilize this program year-round for their needs. Regardless of whether you are doing last-minute preparation for the AP Chinese Exam or want to practice for the short-term, this program will meet your needs.
